Incrustation Inhibitors & Dispersing Agents
Product range
POLYGON offers various products under the name POLYQUEST® to prevent the formation of incrustations and, as they sequester metal ions, also protect products from corrosion and ensure their stability. Many of the products are based on classical as well as oligomeric derivatives of phosphonic acids, all of which are characterised by a threshold effect. However, phosphorus-free products can also be found, as well as powders and granules.
The latest new products include:
- POLYQUEST V-405: based on natural raw materials.
- HYDRODIS WP 4837 Bio: phosphorus-free, biodegradable dispersant
The range of incrustation inhibitors, sequestering agents and dispersants includes various product groups:
- Oligomeric threshold-active sequestering and dispersing agents (HYDRODIS®)

Solubilisers & Emulsifiers
Product range
POLYGON offers various products to dissolve poorly soluble substances and to produce stable emulsions. In terms of chemistry, it is a wide range that includes amphoteric surfactants (from high foaming to low foaming),
phosphoric acid esters and alkyl polyglucosides (APGs).
POLYGON PC-415 is an odourless universal solvent, fully miscible with water and with virtually all organic substance groups.
The range of solubilisers includes products that fall into the following chemical groups:
- Amphoteric surfactants

- Alkyl polyglucosides
Specialty Surfactants
Product range
POLYGON offers various surfactants (surface-active substances/surfactants) which differ in their foaming behaviour (strong to weak foaming), the recommended pH application range and in their ionogenicity (anionic, cationic, amphoteric, non-ionogenic, also fluorosurfactants). The product portfolio also includes surfactant mixtures and alkylpolyglucosides, which are particularly aimed at a “green” clientele oriented towards eco-labels. In terms of application, the products are suitable for cleaners in the household as well as for professional and industrial use. Degreasers are a particular speciality.

Corrosion Inhibitors & Surface Protection
Product range
POLYGON offers various products under the name POLYCORIN® to protect against corrosion and other damaging environmental effects. These include products to protect iron, steel, non-ferrous metals and also aluminium or zinc from corrosion under acidic, neutral as well as alkaline conditions. There is also POLYCORINE, which has a water-displacing effect and appreciates metal in water-free systems. In addition, there are other products for surface protection such as tarnish protection for silver or temporary surface protection, e.g. for vehicles.
The range for corrosion protection and surface protection includes:
- Corrosion inhibitors for acidic environments (pH <7). Also powders.
- Corrosion inhibitors for the alkaline environment (pH >7)
- Corrosion inhibitors for water-free systems
- Special products for surface protection temporary coatings or silver tarnish protection
Hydrophobing & Hydrophilizing Agents
Product range
POLYGON offers various additives that can be used as hydrophobing or hydrophilising agents in cleaners. Among them are also products for the cleaning/maintenance of cars and other means of transport.
POLYGON P-409 is a concentrated hydrophobic agent without environmentally hazardous classification and free of silicones and microplastics.
